Welcome to Gary Dalkin’s author services site. A UK based writer and editor, I provide services for authors including proofreading, re-writing, copywriting and manuscript assessment. I work on projects from full-length books to short stories and articles, from website materials to local histories, yearbooks and memoirs. Over the past decade I have edited in excess of 1000 texts of varying lengths by writers ranging from well known professionally published authors to others making their first ventures into print.
I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and have written and professionally published over 2000 articles, reviews and interviews with such notable figures as Sir Arthur C. Clarke, multi-award winning author of The Prestige, Christopher Priest, Oscar-winning composer Elmer Bernstein, former Doctor Who Colin Baker and Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson. For the last seven years I have reported on science fiction and fantasy for Writers’ News. My clients include Amazon.co.uk, HMV, Naxos, The London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC.
