Rates are by agreement based on the needs of the individual writer. Depending on what suits best rates can be negotiated by the hour, day, page, or as a set price for a particular service. For example, reading an 80 000 word book and providing a detailed report on the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript with suggestions, if necessary, for rewrites and improvements.
